Abstract

The purpose of this study was to establish the mediating effect of financial resource diversification on the relationship between transformational leadership and sustainability of NGOs in Kenya. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design and targeted the 2028 active NGOs at the national level drawn from the registration database of the Kenya NGO Coordination Board. A questionnaire was used to collect the primary data and was piloted before use to measure for validity and reliability.  Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicated that financial resource diversification significantly mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and institutional sustainability of NGOs in Kenya.
